Alastair Lee is a senior leader and practitioner in the education advancement and marketing industries.
With a global profile and sustained track record of multi award-winning work that has set industry standards, Alastair specialises in integrated stakeholder engagement, donor and alumni relations, marketing, brand positioning, communications, PR and events management.
Alastair has dedicated his career to researching, building and launching ambitious community engagement programs from the ground up, developing vast networks of national and international partners and collaborators, whilst winning a multitude of awards, including the prestigious Council for Advancement and Support of Education Gold Award for Annual Magazines in 2014.
He has held many senior leadership positions in education including; Director, Community Relations, Marketing and Development at Sacré Cœur (a P-12 all-girl Catholic school in Melbourne) 2017-2019, Associate Director, Alumni Relations, at the University of Tasmania 2014-2017, and inaugural Alumni Relations Manager at Deakin University 2005-2014. Alastair founded Deakin’s advancement program in 2004.
Prior to his work in advancement, Alastair also oversaw Deakin's enrolment marketing for the western half of Victoria, South-East South Australian and Tasmanian regions from 2001-2004.
Previous to his career in education, Alastair was a litigation lawyer with Clarke & Barwood Lawyers in South-West Victoria for three years.
He holds a Bachelor of Commerce and Bachelor of Laws from Deakin, and is admitted to practice in the High Court of Australia and Supreme Court of Victoria. Alastair is currently studying a Diploma of Viticulture with TAFE SA.
In his spare time, Alastair likes to spend time travelling, furthering his viticulture interests and performing as a classically trained vocalist.
He lives in the South-Eastern region of Melbourne with his partner and young daughter.
Alastair commenced AlumGrow Consultancy in 2020.
