About Alastair Lee
Alastair Lee (BCom, LLB, Dip. Viticulture, M.Edplus)
Alastair Lee is the Managing Director of AlumGrow Consultancy and a senior leader and practitioner in the education advancement industry.
He launched AlumGrow in 2020 to realise his vision of building fully self-sustainable, advancement-driven education systems that expand access to quality education for students from all backgrounds.
With a global profile and a sustained track record of multi award-winning work that has helped set industry standards in fundraising, alumni relations, and marketing, Alastair has dedicated his career to building ambitious, sustainable community engagement programs. Throughout his nearly three-decade career in advancement, he has developed extensive national and international networks and launched high-performing advancement operations across institutions.
His work has been recognised with numerous awards, including a prestigious Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE) Gold Award for excellence in alumni relations.
Alastair has held executive leadership positions in advancement at Deakin University, the University of Tasmania, Tintern Grammar, and Sacré Cœur P–12 Catholic Girls School. He was also responsible for launching and establishing Deakin University’s advancement program.
Prior to his career in education, Alastair practised as a litigation lawyer and is admitted to practice in the High Court of Australia and the Supreme Court of Victoria.
He holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Economics) and Bachelor of Laws from Deakin University, as well as a Diploma of Viticulture from TAFE SA.
